I have managed to get an appointment with Roger Gale this Saturday (as he covers the margate area). I will post his suggestions after i have seen him. I cant sit around waiting any longer. Although the above story would explain the delay, i would just like to know that we are eventually going to get what is owed to us.

I read the article Martyn posted and I dont like the sound of being paid 10 cents in the Euro. If they do get an investor, presumably the Isolvency Agency will no longer be involved and we will get a fraction of what we are owed.

details from fiona frawley on current status pls advise all the people you can who may not have access to this forum
From: Fiona Frawley >Sent: 27 September 2005 17:12 >To: # All Staff (Kent); # All Staff (SNN) >Subject: Update > > >All, > >A brief update > >The situation with EUjet is as follows. Recently, the Irish Courts >extended the Examinership of EUjet to the 7th October to allow an >investor additional time to issue a firm offer for the Company. If an >offer is received by that date the Examiner will apply to the courts for >a re-structuring of the company which will include a payment to staff. >At that time we will be able to give you an indication of a likely >payment date. ???cheers Helen lets hope it achieves something, we shouldnt have to take such drastic measures should we. Me and Martin both said a bit more than what was broadcast but the BBC seemed very sympathetic overall. What did you make of the comments the Insolvency Department made. It sounds like more excuses to me. Take care Karen x x

Have recieved a letter from the Insolvency Service this morning, apologising for the delay in replying.
They advise they have written to the Examiner in Ireland and also their counterpart (in Ireland) to clarify the exact position of EUjet's insolvency.
The last paragraph states:
"We are treating this matter with the utmost urgency and will revert as soon as information is available".
The power of the media ah!!!!!.

just to advise all eujet have been unsucessful in their quest for a buyer and have gone into liquidation, the liquidators have been passed on all info regarding how much each member of staff is owed, they will review this info over the next few weeks and a payment should follow shortly after.

Does anyone know if now that EU Jet has gone into liquidation, we will get the full amount for unpaid wages that is owed to us? Im not very hopeful, but if anyone has any info that would be great. Do we just wait for the liquidator to contact us then?

It seems very sad to be pleased that they are now formally insolvent, but if that is the only way we can get any money then I am happy. I think the Insolvency Agency pay a maximum of 280 a week.
