Thanks for the invite. If you find a venue where you cant take your own food I'll put some money in the pot to pay towards the in house caterer. What was the loony's name?

Come on everyone lets get this reunion organised!
I have phoned round a few venues today and the following are NOT available, Charles Di ckens, the fayreness, Churchill tavern,
The Oak hotel are going to get back to me as someone else has provissionally booked it but not paid a deposit, If this one becomes available it would be the most ideal as its only a short stroll or stumble to the Royal!!
But the only venue available at a realistic cost is the function room at the Stanley Grey Pub in Pegwell,
its available from 7.00pm to 11.30pm and to hire costs £120.00, however this doesnt include food or a dj,
I shall check if a dj i know is free and whether he can do it for a small charge, with regards to the food they said we could give them a kitty and get them to supply food up to the amount we can afford, or just not have any food after all eating is cheating as Dave Large would tell you!!
Really everyone its just needs a few people to agree and we can reserve it and spread the word, Let me know your thoughts x

Hi Mel
Good work. I wondered who was organising this shebang.
Do you think it's a good idea looking at the following weekend for a decent venue? I have been spreading the word and 3 people have told me that they can't make it that weekend.
If you need any help, give me a shout.
JB.

To John and everyone else,
I have tried to find a venue for the wekend after, but as its the first weekend in December everywhere is booked with work xmas parties! I think the stanley grey is sufficient for what we need but a dj will cost £100 or more and add this to the hire of £120. your looking at £220+ if 100 people come along thats over £2.00 each and if less people come the price goes up, looks like it could be expensive!
the last place I can think of is the red arrow club by Ramsgate swimming pool stupidly cheap drinks, and when you hire it the price includes a DJ, i shall phone later to see if its available if not we will just have to chose a pub to meet up in instead
if anyone knows of anywhere else they I havent contacted please feel free to make enquiries and post back
